Gujarati Residence
‘Simplicity in living. Simplicity in design’
Designed for an elderly couple, the Gujarati residence boasts the convictions of its owners, which aims to impart a simplistic yet quality life. A 2BHK house with brickwork in the vertical wall and arched entrance on the ground floor proves to be a focus area of the facade. The exposed brickwork with concrete on either side gives a symmetrical appearance to the front façade.
The planning of the bungalow has been done such that all the major day-to-day activity zones such as dining, living, kitchen, bedrooms are situated on the upper floor, while the lower floor consists of parking and driver’s room. This has been to allow maximum functions to take place at the same level and minimize the circulation for the seniors. The residence has a view to a back garden from the rear façade, which treats them with good views in a dense residential area. ‘Vastu’ has also been taken into account while designing.
